As he was eligible, kinda surprised did not make short list, especially as Sane (who has way less goals and assists) did

Alli's to lose though

What age do you have to be to be eligible? Wilf is 24 isn't he? I find it surprising that at 24 you would still be eligible for Young Player of the Year.

23 at start of season. He turned 24 in November

The Professional Footballers' Association Young Player of the Year (often called the PFA Young Player of the Year, or simply the Young Player of the Year) is an annual award given to the player aged 23 or under at the start of the season

Personally think 23 is too old

It doesn't matter who the others are , if Ali scored an own goal every game he still wins it. Could see him winning both PFA young poty and the adult version.
Miles in front of everyone under 24.

Zaha is better at beating defenders than anyone else in Europe except Messi. Ther PYA stuff is just froth and bulls**t and a great big love-in for people who think they're important. The real business is to do with putting balls in nets.

The nominations are done by players and managers so at the end of the day not many of his opponents can rate him that highly!

From an utterly cynical point of view, we should be glad he's not getting any more attention at this point

On the flip side, we don't want him thinking he'll get overlooked for awards all the time he's at "little old Palace".

Now that would be quite the achievement. He is not even nominated for the latter
