IF .... we do go down, I dont care as we have given a massive F U to two "top" teams, and I fell we have had a "proper go" at staving off relegation ..

I really hope we dont .. So F,ing Loud and Proud for our remaining games !!!!

Yes, I agree.

It's been an honourable fight, no matter the outcome

As I was browsing through the hull forum to see their reaction to our Arsenal victory I noticed one fan say that the fact we've beaten the champions in waiting while at their peak in their own backyard and to trounce an Arsenal team needing a result to keep top 4 aspirations alive just proves we deserve to stay in this league.

It would be devastating to go down now knowing that we can beat the best of the best on our terms yet have to spend at least a year trying to avoid upsets against the likes of Bristol or Bolton (no offence to these teams) while losing our best and flair players to more ambitious opportunities.

What a bizarre mentality. We're no longer the little scrappy team from 13/14, this is perhaps the best squad this club has ever had. The form that we are enjoying right now is right at the level we should be expecting from this group of players. For me, the wins vs Arsenal and Chelsea are indicative of the real talent in this squad, their not one-offs. Look at our squad now with the likes of Milivojevic, Sakho, Zaha, Benteke, Cabaye, Townsend on his day, I do not believe any of the bottom half clubs have 6 players that would match those 6 of ours. This club put together a stunning 2015 then endured a dismal 2016. 2017 so far has been closer to what we should expect from these players.

Pulis would swap in a heartbeat - though he would play Dann, Delaney, Sakho and Kelly as a back 4

It's true we're now getting to see what this quality side is capable of but let's not forget it's the same quality side that's capable of being utterly abysmal, our range for success and failure hit both edges of the graph.

Pointless thread. We're a mid table team wrongly near the relegation zone, 4 points from safety and in title winning or top 4 form over the last 6 games.

Pull yourselves together. Good grief.

Spot on-The Squad is full of confidence, being managed and coached differently now. Getting fitter each week, experiencing new techniques and methods (some more basic).

I have no expectation of us going down. The target should be a last match (safety points not needed)against Hull showcasing the Development Squad - with an outing (on the bench)for players returning from injury.

A nice 3-0 win would send the correct message.

A nice scenario, the only fly in the ointment being that the "last match" is Man Utd and I'd suggest that putting out such a team at Old Trafford may well not result in quite the hoped for confidence boost.

In reality, I expect that Sam will be going all out to pick up as many points, and league places, as possible, through to the last minute of the last game, for reasons that have been stated elsewhere.
