...to welcome the return of Glen Murray and Dwight Gayle next season. Lately the thought of Brighton passing us on the way down has given me nightmares but now, a win and a draw should see us safe. Had to pinch myself watching last night - was this REALLY Palace beating Arsenal? That and the Chelsea result shows that miracles are still possible .. but is this the same team that got thrashed 0-4 by Sunderland just a few weeks back? Funny old world ....

We all thought we'd finish top ten after buying trekkers. Due to mid management we fought a relegation fight needlessly. We are a top ten side on paper. Sam has made that a reality and now... Well... Up til now most top sides have underestimated us. Imo

No. Five of the starting XI were different and that is why we are staying up.

You look a right prat now. Because then our team were the worst team in the Prem and now we aren't. It's very simple. No successful new signings and we would have been getting relegated. You don't think we would have got 3 points against Arsenal, Chelsea and WBA with the team we had in late December and all of January, do you? Seriously?

I've always believed we will stay up, never doubted. No, at that time, reason being I said back then Big Sam is going to need a longer period of time than before to undo all of Pardew's mess that had stretched to over 12 months of pure s*** and confusion. I knew Sam would get the players required and trust him and parish fully. Key thing here is belief in your team and a lot on here just turned their backs.

Fair dos for your belief but with the 0-4 v Sunderland I think the majority thought we were toast. I admit I was (gladly) wrong about us "definitely" going down but for a while there that was the worst Palace team I had seen for many, many a year. Heads were dropping badly and it wasn't just one game but over five or six. Whoever made the player recommendations to Sam, whoever facilitated the moves, a big massive 'thank you' and huge pat on the back. And FWIW I have always admired Sam and his tactical nous since seeing his Bolton side 17 years ago.

The usual suspects slated Sam, but ignoring the utter shambles left behind and Sam being hired later than he should've been. Whoever made the player recommendations to Sam? He's been trying to sign Luka for a few years, he managed PVA before, Schlupp's availability was in a 1/4 page ad in the daily mirror and so was Sakho's loan availability. He also turned the dire form of a handful of our players, mainly Pardew signings, very recent and earlier, from utterly shameful into showing pride and desire. The only person Sam needs to thank is Sammy Lee, another respected pro, whilst Pardew sends em packing for Pulis to recruit them instead and go into the top 6 and instead brings in inexperienced yes men. Are you getting a picture of what an appalling mess Pardew got us into? I was concerned we left it too late, not that he could turn us round.

Fantastic performance on and off the pitch last night. Whilst we are not looking relegation material we mustn't get complacent about this season. Swansea have shown that they can go on a strong run and Hull are strong at home and could upset us at our place. 2 more wins will see us safe. COYP !!

The Sunderland debacle was the best thing that could of happened for Sam. It enabled him to get into the players and tell a few home truths and explain how they would be playing his way in future. He has shown o be an exceptional man manager and is getting the best out of the players, something Pardew could never do.

We still have it all to do.
