Another thing Sam has sorted out. You only have to look at the last few Benteke has taken to answer your own question!

He took a FK against Saints that hit the base of the post, so he obviously knows his way around a dead ball. He said in his interview he's been practising them for a couple of weeks.

i would've guessed sam would've got YC sorted on it before mili but whatever works is fine by me. i wonder if he took the penalties at olympiakos or if this is new.

This plus when you think Arsenal keeper was about 3 foot off his line and dived the right way and it STILL found the corner suggests we have a master set-piece taker on our hands.

There was literally not an inch to spare with his pen when the Goalkeeper was stretched that much. It wasn't a matter of going one way and the keeper the other, he had get it right in the side-netting and looked like he did with ease.

Best penalty taken by a Palace player since Jedinak. Mili truly is the second coming of Mile.

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.

Sam was pissed at how many we squandered and set a specific penalty taker who has to practice on the training ground. Mili looks the bizz and as long as he keeps scoring he will stay on as designated no.1 penalty kicker. It's basics of management having that sorted and the sh*tshow of Pardew having no proper kicker probably cost us about 6 points this season.

pleased to say i've never seen a Palace penalty taken live. a little superstition of mine, but i hear it was great and as such, he can carry on. Don't care who takes it as long as we score.

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

Because unlike every other penalty taken this season he actually looked like he really would score.

Well to be fair to Pardew, Benteke was the penalty taker but started f***ing about with them.
The last one I think was Watford Away.
Pardew though lost those 6 points in the 6 game losing spree.
From what I have seen with Sam a 6 game losing spree will not happen.
Extremely professional.

He didn't really have a clarified position though. When asked after Benteke missed who was going to take them he said along the lines of 'whoever wants to, but we will have to look at them'. For a while it was Yohan, and he missed a couple, if he played it was Jedi, or Wickham, and then when Benteke arrived it was sort of him. I think just sitting down and saying 'Luka, you have got bottle, you take pens' is a very important thing for Sam to have done. I knew Luka would score last night, I put him down as first goal scorer and should have really bet anytime goal scorer. The guy is just a monster.

he really is. i'm starting to worry that a bigger club has taken notice of a plug-and-play premier league player, who can take pens and provide leadership. arsenal, everton, pool = all have serious defensive problems and mili would probably help them.
