Another masterstroke signing by Pardew. Coupled with Flamini, Pardew clearly was clueless when it came to avoiding crocked players. Neither had been fit to play in the last season before they joined. I can't believe we're paying Chelsea to fill up one of our treatment tables for Remy. Pardew's poor squad building still hurting us. Rant over.

He has proved to have been a less than inspired signing - we have got used to them in recent times !!!! I was never convinced about signing Remy and had a few conversations about this outside HOL. My goodness if Benteke gets injured we will be relying on Campbell!

It's amazing how insightful everyone is with the benefit of hindsight. At the time all of the talk was about what an excellent signing he could be if he could be kept fit and how we hoped that we could sign him permanently at the end of the season. It was a bit of a gamble that could have paid huge dividends but unfortunately it didn't

We did not have a huge squad and could not afford the luxury of gambling on another sick note.

It was a bit of a gamble that could have paid huge dividends but unfortunately it didn't I called the Flamini signing as a flop when we got him. Remy I saw as a risk, a risk we could have afforded more had we kept Gayle. I'd have rather seen us sign an average PL striker who hadn't had the injury problems Remy had for the past 2-3 years of his career. If you take Bolasie at Everton or Remy at us: one was unlucky, Bolasie got an injury any player can get; misses the rest of the season. Remy on the other hand, we have only ourselves to blame if you look back at his injury record, it is simply a risk that we didn't need to take and one that Allardyce would have never have taken.

What are you on about?, Remy has been a fantastic signing. The experience levels of our back room medical team have gone through the roof and, coupled with Wickham and his various ailments, they are now potentially the most experienced medical team ever known. That said, i've just picked this up. what a donkey Edited by paperhat (06 Apr 2017 9.21am)

he's played 114 minutes for us. Last season he didn't get 300 minutes for Chelsea. Nothing against him personally, just setting it in context. I believe there would have been opportunities if he were fit because I think Costa was out in patches and Mourinho wasn't even playing Falcao. I think Pedro or Hazard were playing as the striker. Both Souare and Fryers have played more minutes than him this season.
