I am so sorry because I get annoyed at the multitude of Pardew posts and I really thought it was time to let it go. But Big Sam has come in and got us 12 of our 31 points in 4 games and when we lose matches like tonight we should be nowhere near 3 points of the bottom 3. Yes, I know Managers get sacked all the time and I should be grateful Sam has turned it around to at least give us a fighting chance but Pardew not at least getting 2 more draws is disgusting. All those games against mediocre clubs where we didn't have to go gung-ho and he stuck on 3 strikers and lost. Just 2 more points now would be so crucial for us. I feel like I'm sitting in my kitchen with tears streaming over a puddle of dairy on the floor, and I'm fairly sure there's a saying that says I shouldn't be doing that!

Sam himself was astonished when he came in at how badly the previous incumbent had f***ed up the squad and that was despite having studied it from outside and written an action plan. Even now we are still living with some of the consequences of Pardew's mismanagement and those two goals in the latter stages tonight were straight out of Pardew's textbook, "How to Defend Like S***e And Give Away F***ing Stupid Goals". Looking at the four games prior to this one, the quality of the players coming in in January and the organisation and fitness in general, you would have to say that if we get relegated it will be nobody else's fault. It wasn't that he didn't know his onions, he had shown form prior to 2016 and had a remarkable Cup run. It was that he failed to manage the long-term capability of the players properly and also did a number of bl**dy stupid and reckless things. Even if he had just managed out the away Swansea game at 4 - 3 we would be a whole lot safer than we are. But what did it for me was our failure to turn up at the start of the season after a proper preparation: when we came back we were disorganised, unfit and s***e. A couple of decent performances then and we wouldn't be anywhere near the drop zone. And Hell would be well into the next glacial period and buried under a few kilometers of icecap before I forgave him. Quite apart from the precarious position he left us in in the league, he left us totally ill-equipped for getting out of it until surgery costing £30m or so, taking three months and demanding of the acknowledged mastermind of Premiership survival to start to rectify. Pardew's mismanagement of Palace was criminal.

This is getting boring now, blaming pardew every time we lose. Bfs came in with over half the season left to play, inherited a decent squad outside the relegation zone, spent 50 million in Jan, got giving a world class centre back by Liverpool and is on 3.5 million a year so I wouldn't feel to sorry for him. Swansea, Boro, hull and Leicester have all had managerial changes to deal with. If we go down then it's pardew, bfs and the players fault collectively.

It was a squad with a huge losing mentality and by all accounts very unfit by Premiership standards.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I'm blaming him for f***ing up our team. OK?

He didn't spend £50 mil in January, he spent just over £30 mil with add ons. The very money and areas Pardew should've spent and addressed, as was said by myself and plenty of others but apparently not essential or affordable in your opinion. Well they were essential and affordable. You excused him in leaving us severely vulnerable before poor squad problems we've all learned of. Maybe not a PVA and a Schlupp in January as we need now mind you but definitely one then. If we go down, up until this point I cannot blame Sam unless something happens from here on in. Sam should've been in earlier. I will blame Pardew, but not within hours of each match. The players should take some blame but really Pardew gradually ground them all down and all that bollox about players keeping their fitness levels up is so far from how professional sport works it's laughable. The shyte he came out with last week proves he's a top level blagger before manager, yet he's failed on both those counts as well. Edited by Rudi Hedman (05 Apr 2017 11.47pm)

Let's get something straight: If we go down, it is absolutely Pardew's fault, 100%. We lost games we should have won under him or because of him. Now Sam, in a short space of time, has to create a team to win games we should lose. Thank no one else but 'The Genius' if we go down.

Yep, I think having watching Palace under BS makes you realise how poor some of Pardew's management was. I remember three or four times when I was left bewildered by the substitutions Pardew made at critical moments in games. It seemed he was intent on producing a masterstroke that nobody else would have spotted - In fact, these decisions were merely punts that almost always ended in failure. Thank God we have some sense in the way the team is being steered.

Just looking at the table and thinking that if we could have held on to a 4-3 lead for the length of injury time we would now be all but safe and Swansea would now be all but goosed.

We are always wiser on hindsight, but I kept saying Pardew will ruin our club with his stupid ideas. The guy is a very very poor manager and we got rid of him just in time (I hope). I really feel sorry for the next club that get him, Millwall perhaps is about his level.
