And another one given that the officials were minded to chalk off.

Shows how inadequate unaided officials really are.

I didn't see it. Was there a long pause whilst the video ref was consulted or was it all quite quick?

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Both done in around 30 seconds, and no players crowding the referee once the decision was given, a few creases to iron out but HAS to be used in the next couple of years domestically surely...

worked well didn't it , got to be the way forward , I was sceptical but ive been proved wrong . with the tv going through the game so much and highlighting the refs wrong decisions this will work .

interviewer " iggy , do you think you influenced anybody?"
iggy pop " I think I wiped out the 60`S "

I guessing that we'll get to the stage were every goal is reviewed so is this going to take away the passion of scoring as you then have to wait 60 seconds to check.

I'm against it as I think it'll remove the instant passion but I accept we have to try it to stop everyone obsessing over referees decisions and using them as scape goats. What the hell are sky going to talk about they only talk about ref decisions.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

yep what a result , they might think about trying to analyse the game and tactics a bit more but that's probably a bit too cerebral for your average sky sports viewer

Only one of the officials can call for a review and it would only be if they felt a bit of uncertainty about the goal, so i don't think it would get to a stag where it impacts most goals..

I wonder if managers will get some freebies per match, like tennis players

about 2 pm, I switch the car radio on, and there is a discussion on referees decisions.
Poll appeared to give honest ands reasonable answers about decisions called in feisty matches. Also said whatever aids the referees had, the two principles were
1. the referee always has the final decision
2. Once the final whistle is blown, none of the referees decisions should be challenged to change the outcome of the game.

I agree in principle with the 2 points above,.....however,...

When Poll was asked about playing the advantage for a few seconds before blowing the whistle, and calling play back,...he was resolute.
"Always let play continue for a few seconds to see how it plans out. You can always bring play back for a Free Kick if there is no advantage in letting play continue"

Made my blood boil thinking of ****enberk in the Cup Final.

I disengage, I turn the page.

Well obviously Clusterf*** was quite right because there was no advantage to Manchester United in letting play continue. Advantage to anyone else is of course irrelevant.
