A lot of players deal are up at the end of the season. Provided we a prem side. Who should we keep or release. Players contracts up: Personally the only one I would keep is one of the gk as a 3rd choice maybe speroni. If we're to move to the next level. It's time to improve the squad.

Thinks it depends what division we're in. None of them have set the world alight while being at the club this season. Maybe Hennessy as a number 2 and Ledley as a squad player. The rest should be shown the door Edited by Dan89 (24 Mar 2017 10.09pm)

Speroni- keep -squad player with a view on a future coaching career. Fryers- release- have abundance of left backs when soaure is fit. Not premier league standard. Kelly- release- nowhere near premier league standard- would expect new blood such as jenkinson coming in to challenge ward ar right back. Kelly is much poorer than ward. Flamini- release- forgot he was even at the club, disappointing how little he has played and wasn't the replacement for Jedi we thought he would be. Delaney Keep- i personally would keep damo, but i think he will be released due to age. Damo is a good squad player but depends on how many centre backs we are planning on signing. I never thought damo would last this long when first signed, which is a credit to him. More sentimental than realistic probs here. Appiah- Release- he is now 26 and due to persitent injury has been unable to get any game time at Palace which is a shame as when he broke into the Ghana team and we were short on strikers he may of been in with a sniff. Can't seem him being given a shot as he is unproven and not exactly a up and comer. Ledley- Release- if we stay up i cannot see Ledleys first team chances improving. We have had good service out of him but think he will be moved on as we look to progress. If relegated may be worth a contract offer. Campbell - Release- won't fit our style of play, could be useful if 2 up front. Despite his work rate, not good enough as a prem striker.

I just want to say that Speroni and Delaney have been immense for this club. I know that's slightly off the theme for the thread but I thought I'd just mention it. Obviously Speroni holds a special connection but Delaney was such an incredibly good transfer. We had a time there where transfer after transfer appeared to be golden relative to our status.

Sorry but speroni past it. Fantastic goalie in his day but his reactions are not quick enough for prem football anymore. If we want to move to the next level there's no sentiment in football.

Four times Player of the Year hasn't "set the world alight"? With regard the statement about him being past it, none of us has ever got to find out as Pardew cast him out in the cold after a decent season in 2015 and replaced him with McCarthy, then Hennessey, then McCarthy and Mandanda and now Hennessey again. Two have proven not to be good enough despite a considerable age advantage and supposedly being in their prime and fvck knows what the situation is with Mandanda.

We judging the player on contribution this season and speroni done nothing. Not 3 years ago when he won player of the year. His a 3rd choice keeper at best now.
