Agreed. He's clearly happier back in a 4-man defense and with less expectation of him to go forward. He is pretty good at choosing his moments to go on an adventure without leaving his defensive position unmanned. It's also easier for him now that the CBs seem to have an appetite for the ball again. For a while, the back line treated it like a grenade with the pin out.
We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |

Plays with a degree of confidence knowing there's a man near him called The Sakho .Amazing what one player can do to your game. Well played Wardy.

Couldn't agree more. Apart from one sliced clearance, Wardy didn't put a foot or head wrong all game. Brilliant. The team did the biz defensively, Sakho terrific again. Only 'no shots on target' was a downer....

Ward was quality when Pulis was in charge. Fitness key to him IMO.

I think both Sakho and Mili combined are having a massive impact on the Defence as a whole

Some decent stuff today but he also made several mistakes one of which led to Hennessey's excellent save on what looked like a certain Watford goal. Sakho was an absolute beast again at the back. A wonderful player.

much more comfotable when you don't almost sh1t yourself everytime JW has to make a tackle or clearance. Nowhere near the form when there was clamour for an England call up, well minor clamour
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
