Used Teabags on radiator form part of art exhibition. This is the level our 'culture' is now at.
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

All fairly tame. My favorite exhibit was at the Tate in St Ives some years ago which involved a pile of rotting carrots with a trail of more rotting carrots leading eventually to pictures of a man with a carrot up his arse. Not sure what it was trying to say. Perhaps that you shouldn't waste good vegetables.

Pretentious old bollocks. Now I'm no expert or Artist come to that, but surely to be an artist you need to have some skill? Maybe able to hue a figure out of a piece of granite or paint a landscape or something f***ing hell ! This clown is probably being subsidised by the tax payer as well. Utter f***ing crap !!

All about interaction with others - the tea bags give a statement (that someone is well and looking after themselves). Putting the kettle on is part of welcoming people to our homes.

How about a nice oil painting of mum making the tea then? Perhaps with some flying ducks on the wall in the background.

I'm fairly simple on my personal indication of "what is art" - if I couldn't do it myself. The idea of unmade beds, teabags, or piles of bricks? Nah, not for me. Would any art critic ever walk into someone's house, see a couple of teabags on the radiator and think "wow - that's genius". The answer, of course, is no, and that surely means that it's only art because someone has said it is, and that's just odd.
