Did mine 11 years ago. Quite frankly, it drives you mad. They had to reset it every 3 or 4 weeks because they set it at an angle and adjust it as it knits. You can't put your foot flat even in the plaster. I was in plaster for 13 weeks in all. Takes a while to get strength back into it but eventually it'll be all right. Just don't go thinking you can play football like you used to (even after 50). All the best anyway. Just think that you'll be back to normal around when next season's fixtures come out!
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Wow, plaster for 13 weeks, Jesus not even a week in and I'm pi**ed right off already. And to be honest, I think this spells the end of my football career. But the tendon was the worst for healing. 18 months before I could work again (I'm a chippie). Yours won't take that long, but don't expect to be able to kick a ball in anger again. Unless you like pain.
