i know we haven't gone to Dubai but presume there would be some sort of training camp in the UK somewhere to take advantage of the 2 week break between games. I presumed this would give BFS a chance to really focus on fitness, work on formations and defensive drills, maybe get a behind closed door game in and generally get some team bonding. Instead I see that Sakho has taken his wife on a break to Dubai as he has a free weekend. FFS if there is 1 player who needs to utilise this 2 weeks to get some match sharpness it's him. Can't believe Palace have given the players a few days rest in the middle. As we would normally have a game at the weekend surely Saturday should have been the day to have a really intensive training day in lieu of a game. Really disappointed

I really don't understand why the above post was made at all UNLESS th OP has inside knowledge of the club's training routine. I don't but maybe it has been five hard days and another few hard days this week also. Surely it's OK to give the players a couple of days off to spend how they want?

Really disappointed I would imagine that we have gone under a lot of intense training last week and much the same this week. I would also imagine that the players require a couple of day off between so they do not burn out by the time we play Middlesborough. That said I think that the coaching staff and manager are well aware of what they should be/are doing.

Sako has been to Dubai evidently. Can't understand why they let him . Really long flight, he will be f***ed. I would have had him training over weekend we need to get our money's worth out of him. If he doesn't play Saturday it will look bad,

The coming weekends game is THE definitive moment in our season, Sam has had a clear two weeks of no interruptions or distractions to get his message, thoughts and dare I say it a winning pattern of play across.... Can we we get three points ... I believe that we win ....

When I saw he was in Dubai,I did think he better be fit for Saturday? If not we are just getting mugged off! Appreciate the players need a break, see Schlupp went to Paris, but long haul for a weekend seems odd for a player who you would hope was in some kind of intensive training programme to be ready for his first appearance?

He wont necessarily start anyway if Dann returns from injury. The patterm might still be for him to be on the bench then subbing for Delaney in the second half? He hasn't actually played any PL matches this season, so no point in risking him before he is ready. Anyway, its possibly because he did slightly unwise things like taking a long flight holiday to Dubai that Liverpool gotrid. He's a bit of a loose cannon

It's becoming 'no point in signing him' more like.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |
