You can't say nailed it and Collymore says 'I wonder whether this is the time that....'

Ledley and Puncheon are not stars anyway. We've only been able to play 1 new player. The problem is that time is running out. I can see it being the season we got him in too late whereas last season he was in at Sunderland early enough and Newcastle got Benitez 2 weeks too late although if they won at Villa in the penultimate Saturday they would've stayed up.

Fifty different people will have fifty different theories and just because Stan Collymore is an ex footballer doesn't make his theory any more accurate than the next man.

I would, however, listen to his advice on dogging and beating up your girlfriend as he probably has far more experience than most of us in those areas

A few jurnos have wondered why Sam's appointment has not given the team a lift like Swansea and Hull have enjoyed. A few have suggested that he is not the same man following the England debacle. Let's have a look at the Sam affect at Sunderland last season.

He joined Sunderland on 9th October 2015. Their record at that stage was Played 8 Won 0 Drew 3 Lost 5. Sam's first 11 games in charge yielded the following results Won 3 Lost 8 and they were firmly in the relegation zone at 31 December. At that stage I would imagine that the Sunderland players had no confidence and their fans were reacting then pretty much in the same way ours are now. During the January transfer window Sam bought two centre backs (Kone & Kirchhoff) and a midfielder (Khazri). Their results for the last 19 games were Won 6 Drew 9 and lost 4. The results of the critical final 10 games were Won 3 Drew 6 Lost 1.

Sam did not instantly make Sunderland a better team but he knew what to fix and brought in the players to do it. We have not yet had the full benefit of our January signings and there is still time for the team to turn it around.

We the fans have made our feelings clear to the players and so has Steve Parish. The best way we can play our part in the great escape is to sing our hearts out on the terraces. See you there!

Stan is right.never been an Allardyce fan.his sooo arrogant.

for me the ideal scenario is we stay up and big Sam walks.

Can't agree with that.

The problem is the quality of the 'lesser players' is causing issues. Benteke is scoring goals, Wilf is generally playing well, Cabaye looks improved since he came in.

It's the likes of Delaney, Ledley, Puncheon and Ward who are struggling most of all out on the pitch.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

I don't put much credence to what Collymore says he just likes the sound of his own voice.
Pundits keep on about Sam's signings not bringing about any improvement but they don't seem to have noticed he hasn't had the chance to play most of them, when he does then judge him.

Collymore's a w***er, he wears a w***ers hat,
he was a Forrest w***er, then a Leicester t***,
he went out with ulrika, he beat her like an egg,
and when he came to derby, he broke his ****ing leg!
