I really think we miss them not just because i think they could have still played a part on the pitch, but because of their character and determination. We have some outstanding individual talents now, way above the players that Jedi and Glenn played with when they first joined the club, but some of our renowned spirit and never say die attitude that we had was exemplified by these two. To all those who still support Pardew, just remember it was him that changed our whole philosophy, what made us the team that could come back from 3-0 down against Liverpool with 10 minutes left to draw a game. Yes we have more quality now, but we could have kept these two for at least another year. Big Sam would have loved them. We simply lack leaders on the pitch

Doesn't help that I've seen a post by some Aston Villa news article that they haven't won a game without Jedinak being on the pitch, says something about his presence doesn't it.

Unless Puncheon plays.

He hasn't played for A.Villa in the last few games - don't know if this is because of injury or not.

In my humble estimation he is not PL level at this stage of his career. But of course there will be those who fervently disagree with me.Opinions, opinions !

It took him a handful of games getting back into it after Christmas whilst giving goals and points away all by himself but once he was back on it he was a prem survivor to get you over the line.

The issue is not releasing or selling. It's not replacing.

Not replacing Jedi.

One less defender.

No left back cover.

An inside out right winger in for a left winger.

The list goes on and on, and a manager and owner acquiescing anything either say and relying on taking chances working again. Just about worked last January because of the points on the board. This time after August window?

How's that massive £4 million made from Jedinak working out for us? Bloody marvelously.

£4 million is virtually nothing in this market, I was astonished how anybody at the time thought that it was a good piece of business, especially with players like Ledley and Mutch still at the club.

In my opinion jedinak last year was lacking Pace, sharpness and always seemed to be one step behind the play, he also picked up some silly cards at times so although I do think his never say die attitude and clearly vocal approach to the game is what we need at this moment in time, i still don't think he's good enough to play at this level anymore.

Jedi I agree also think he is any phrase on Ledley football wise. Murray we don't miss, he was never a big character on the pitch and definitely wasn't a leader. He would moan and get frustrated if he said anything at all.

I have banged on about Jedi for ages but I think some people are missing the point about him.
Would he have played every game if he stayed - no.
Should he have played every game - no.
People talk about not replacing him - true - but whilst we didn't replace his position you cannot replace him, his character or his love for CPFC.
He went through a lot with the Club and he got it, got us and if he was still here now he would have been instrumental in sorting things out on and off the field - you don't have to play every week to have an effect on the team.
Jedinak being sold by Pardew was Pardews downfall because with him at the club Pardew would probably still have a job but Pardew did not want him and did not like him - goodness knows why but that is the case.
This team is missing a rudder - it's in Birmingham1

We were in then relegation area a couple of years ago when Pardew was appointed and he galvanised the team so much that we steadily moved up the table ending in 10th spot.

The first month of this transformation was achieved without Jedinak who was away at the Asia cup and we played some of our best football without him
