I know he was injured, but a very interesting turn of events once our starting line-up/gameplan had to be altered. Joe Ledley was at fault, in my opinion, for all 3 goals once Cabaye had been brought off and offered 0 creativity.

He didn't track Defoe for the third goal, actually he lets him go and was not screening Januzaj's pass for the fourth. The second was a hell of a strike but a midfielder cant be giving him that much space and allowing him to drift pass so easily (although Punch gave the ball away initially!).

Just though I'd point out, that had it been Milivojevic on the bench perhaps yesterday would not have gone down the s***. Cabaye has the 2nd most interceptions (before yesterday's game) in the entire league this season - and I think his ability to break down opposition attacks often goes unnoticed.

On a final note, has anyone got any tips on forgetting yesterday's horror show? I have a mountain load of work to get through today and the Palace result has demotivated me from doing anything remotely useful.

What was wrong with Cabaye? Signalled and told the bench he had to come off then for 2 mins was running around and started an attack. Did he have to meet someones for the rugby?

We all know what happened after. Ledley who was part of that amazing double act with MacArthur some were stroking themselves silly over vs the worst dross of the season came on to fake a performance.

For what it's worth,in these situations of bad events depressing me I use music as a therapy. Which music is up to you of course. If you have a partner make the most of them and appreciate what you have.

I'd be more than happy not to see ledley in a palace shirt again. Flamini should be the man whilst luka isn't available.

As long as Ledley is getting minutes on the pitch we won't be picking up many points between now and the end of the season. I have no idea why Flamini wasn't brought on instead. Ledley needs to much protection from other players, he's never been a DM but he's never offered much going forward. He must have lost the ball in about every instance where he was put under even the remotest pressure this season. Hate to say this about one of our own players but I can't think of any worse midfielders in the PL that are still getting as much game time for their clubs as him.

Is this another case of someone's reputation being enhanced by not playing?

Excuse my random comment about music on here; I must have pressed a wrong button while trying to post back to someone about another topic. Regarding Cabaye, the data on him certainly shows Ledley is not a replacement, but was there a better option? Luka (visa-reliant), Sakho & Schlupp, plus, possibly, a fit & renewed Sakho could still turn this around.

Flamini should have been brought on to replace Cabaye.

Sunderland put in a couple of crunching tackles early on, no surprise who they targeted in Cabaye and Zaha. Cabaye had to go off as a result of that tackle.

Ledley is just running down his contract, he's lost all desire now and will make his final move in the summer. I want hungry players in the palace kit he should only be used in desperation.

Let's hope so - although misery would be fully restored if Leicester and Swansea got a point. I was looking for something, potentially, not football related!!
