ward - pretty average defensively and lacks pace in a key area, gets roasted a lot
Delaney - great respect for this fella but apart from passion he is way out of his depth now . No pace
Dann - not a captain in my opinion . Also slow
Wayne H - bloody awful and that's being nice
No presence in centre mid . Hopefully milly will solve this
Hate slagging these lads off but they are no way near good enough

Pretty much agree. Also, Benteke. Average to good scorer, but lacks in movement and pressing. Gayle was so much better

I just don't understand why we have lost our fight. Please do not tell me there are not man for man 4 teams in PL worse than us. Just look at Hull today what chance of us doing something like that. So many dreams going down the pan, trying to come to terms with what is happening. Depressed and fed up Palace fan.

We have a major loss of confidence especially at home and either a lack of passion / desire for the cause or they are so fearful a bit like the England team. I wonder when we are really dead and buried that we will start to play with more freedom and our ability will show a bit more. Too late then though

With Benteke playing we might as well have 10 men - he is just lazy.

He is a luxury we can't afford in this dog fight . I hope Allardyce has the guts to drop him. Those who defend him because of the goals are deluded - £30 million and not even a patch on say the ageing Glenn Murray who Pardew foolishly rejected. We need players who earn their wages and not posers like him!!!

Most of the key points covered, but we are so slow in our play, poor passing no second gear and almost looks like we are playing off the cuff.
Lacking ideas and just hopeful punts and crosses?

The lack of pace is the main issue. They can't run with the ball for long hence, the numerous sideways and backward passing.

I notice that someone on this thread said that Dann should not be captain or words to that effect. I earlier posted that as a lifelong professional leadership expert I have absolutely no doubt that Dann should be replaced by a real captain with the qualities needed. Dann is a nice guy but does he have that heavyweight gravitas combined with a large presence, passion and strength that inspires the rest of the team? Methinks not. So the question becomes who, of the current squad, would be a good captain?

And I got "Roasted" quite a while back for suggesting that he lacked that extra burst of pace and overall he wasn't as good as people on here rated him.Weren't some calling for an England inclusion ?

Lack of pace and height in the middle is the problem! If teams crowd us out on the wings then we can't penetrate through the middle.

Watching puncheon and Ledley in the middle today was painful, soooo one footed, no acceleration and would only pass sideways or bacwards. When Cabaye went off, Remy should have came on and swapped positions with J.Mc.

Against Stoke I expect to see 3/4 changes judging by the press conference.
