Crazy thought? Or possible?
The way I see it, the biggest problem of the team is not that it concedes many goals, but that it does not create. Sometimes it so happens that you concede 4 goals in 1 match. But if we had managed to score 2 or 4 and the result had been 2-4 or 3-4, I would have been ok with it. Because if you score goals, eventually, the points from wins will come. You won;t get 3-4 goals against you every game.

But this team has not had more than 10 shots TOWARDS goal (not on goal) except for the games it's been down and desperate to come back on the score sheet, against Hull and now, against Sunderland, in the 2nd half. Those were the only games with more than 10 shots towards the opposing goal. Not even the match against Bournemouth was great. It was a lucky win from few situations.

When it's 0-0 the team doesn't know how to create chances. It has been living through the individuality of Zaha and McArthur. It needs more players to get crosses in towards Benteke, to break the tempo and run fast dribbling the opposition. For me, Ward just doesn't cut it. And it seems like he doesn't do that well defensively either by the standards of today's match. The team desperately needs a right back going forward. As the winter transfer window has closed and Jenkinson hasn't arrived, I think using Chungy there is the viable option. Kelly and Tomkins are center backs, they're bad as right backs. Chungy is 1,80, he should do okay. Slightly okay...I mean, there would be some trouble until he properly learns to hold the offside line. But don't you think his contribution would be better than Ward's?

My squad for the next fixture. One last attempt at fighting for survival:
............Mandanda
Chungy, Tomkins/, Sakho, van Aanholt
.............Dann
.......................................
Zaha, McArthur, Milivojevic, Townsend/
......................................Schlupp
..............Cabaye/
..............Remy
.......................................
...........Benteke/
............Remy

On the bench: 3 of the above who don't make the first 11, Hennessey/Speroni, Ward, Puncheon, one of Ledley or Flamini

Out of the 18: Kelly, Delaney, Ledley/Flamini, B. Sako

I've gone from thinking you're uninformed to suspecting you might be an even more elaborate troll than Willo.

Did you see his positioning for Everton's goal when he was supposed to be covering Schlupp? Nah, thought not.

Who's Willo?

Why would I be uninformed? I don't see what I said that would make you have that assumption. I've been pretty well informed about what I've said

Yeah, but, did you see Ward's positioning today?

Might be an idea to try him in goal.

Just to make sure.

So instead of answering like a normal human being, you call me a troll, say I'm annoying and then say that I'm right in what I say. So what prevented you from giving a normal, common sense answer?
Honestly, you get pissed when I imply your age. But how old are you? Is this a children's forum?

So you're taking it up on me cause you're pissed about today's match?
I'm just providing a discussion about a logical action, I asked what everyone else thinks.
Are you family with Ward or something?

It was a more educated response than Mo's. And at least he agreed with you, instead of resorting to a primitive response.

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

That's the beauty of a football forum though, isn't it?
You can take the piss and then watch people get higher blood pressure.
It's amusing to me.
