Many clubs have refunded fans when they've been thrashed away from home. I think the club should find some way of compensating the fans for that pile of muck today. We have been incredibly patient, and every week the ground is full and we give the team plenty of encouragement. It's not a poisonous atmosphere like it has been at Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle in the past. There are thousands of people inside that ground who are watching the pennies, who have to save to pay for their season tickets, bring sandwiches with them because a £5 burger is too much. But they turn up every week, because they love the football club and want us to do well. It means something, and they feel like they can make a difference by showing their support. There were players on that pitch today whose match bonus will be half a years salary to some people. If the club are going to pay their wages, then they should compensate the fans. I'm not suggesting that they refund everyone's ticket, or pay for transport costs. But there should be a free beer for the next home game, or a discount voucher for the club store. Something, anything, to acknowledge the supporters and make it clear that they are appreciated and that was unacceptable. I would be happy with a half pint as I left at half time for the first time in 20 years.
"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017. |

There will more likely be a price increase on the £2 cuppa in the ground than any sort of goodwill gesture by the owners. When was the last time they did anything half-decent in regard to the supporters?

One weeks wages from all the players would more than cove the season ticket renewal. Especially the if we have to endure Championship football
If only ???? |

I think this is a really good postage probably the only positive of the day. How about we all petition the players to give this week's wages to the trust fund of the palace fan who we saw on the big screen during the 2nd half who obviously has recently passed away far too young. How about you Hennessy, Puncheon, sideways Kelly or any of the other idiots who just gave up because they couldn't be bothered. Do you really think you earn your money today ? Come on everyone, let's petition them!!!!!!!

Come on everyone, let's petition them!!!!!!! What a brilliant idea. Those kids could then go to Whitgift or Trinity and be given a leg up in life after losing their dad and all for the sake of seven days wages from a few of the players. Our society/football is so fvcking mixed up that it definitely won't happen. If I were chairman it bloody would. If someone could twitter this idea to Parish I would be very grateful.
