I'll start:

1. s*** performers
2. Having to identify, and pressure, s*** performers because my employer says all teams must have s*** performers
3. Being a middle manager (just enough responsibility that you have to give a f***)
4. Class-based success
5. Being so well paid there are no alternative paths
6. People who have a better nack for positioning themselves than me

That'll have to do now...need to check my work messages (as i must at weekends and evenings). f*** it. That's number 7

I suppose it depends on what job you do really. What do I hate about work?

1) People who have got into positions of authority for any other reason than actually being good at their job.... Plenty of those in my job!

2) The stupidity of some of the great British public. Something that I could never actually get bored of!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I find the people in authority in my company are just good talkers and I reckon they get such positions as they are very adept at blagging their way in and networking but when comes to the crunch and you expect to see some sort of management expertise, they just tend spin it, come out with management schpeil and just delegate the work out to people like myself. When you've bust your butt doing the work they then take all the credit in management meetings even though I had to work 2 or 3 times harder due to their mismanagement of the situation

Complicated and unnecessary layers of peripheral tasks, usually designed to compile pointless statistics.

Having my morning interrupted to attend meetings at which the pointless statistics will be discussed.

Being told that the quality of my work is equally as important as the level of my output, when I know full well that all anyone really cares about is productivity.

Not having the freedom to decide on the most appropriate method of responding to any correspondence received.

The detrimental effect on customer service arising from the above.

Thank goodness I'm retired!

Things I hated about working for other people,...(now self-employed)

1. Workplace politics. Including,...
1a. People trying to drop you in it with the boss, to ingratiate themselves.
1b. People trying to swerve blame and telling outright lies to avoid being accountable.
1c. Having your innovative and progressive ideas stolen from you and presented to the boss by someone else as a product of their own thinking.
1d. Glory thieves. When you complete an astoundingly profitable project, people try to infer they gave you a lot of assistance

Other then that, just

Co-workers
Customers
Management

Love it. So you hate the 'positioning' stuff because you're terrible at it. Welcome, brother.

Having to share a toilet with people, who on any given day, are liable to:
- Stink it out
- Piss all over the seat or floor
- Leave their pubes or bum debris around

it's not positioning, it's lying. It's a steep learning curve, and I got good at it. And I worked in extreme workplaces, so not applicable to everyone , by any means.
Initially I lurved fcking co-workers and clients over. It gave me an adrenalin buzz, after being trampled over.
Then I re-set my moral compass and went self-employed.

Not a criticism of anyone in other workplaces who enjoy that sort of competitiveness.

Just not for me. I play with a straight bat.

I do hate a pebble dashed work toilet. Not because I'm squeamish about it, but I don't want to leave it dirty and have somebody else go in as I exit, thinking I was the dirty f***er who did it. So then do you clean up another man's poo or run the risk of being thought of as a neglectful pebble dasher?
