To win! I've been rather negative recently, the reasons for which I have documented and still stick by.
However, for one second, let's put our differences aside, unite and say well done the boys.
I've been pretty numb since the Swansea game, banter levels with the local weed have diminished. However I perked up today and said "I've got a feeling about tonight"
And what a good feeling it is. Onwards and upwards 😀

Yesterday was our best football day of the season so far. I know one always wants a lot, but could someone tell me if the icing on the cake happened yesterday - namely that when Murray went to the Weed yesterday for £3m we got a 20% sell-on fee? If so, I think it's champagne time!!!

When Benteke's goal went it was a huge relief but honestly after them hitting the post we kep them at bay without much concern having 3 CB's.

I knew the day we got a win others down there would too. We need to beat Sunderland to get into making more progress.

I've also been a bit quiet recently.....mainly due to life stuff but when we get in the kind of slump we were in I find it too painful to watch the team and tend to pull back a bit from the Palace community.

I'm ashamed that I do this, but I cant help it.

Anyway on a more positive note the boys were excellent yesterday, I wound my neck in and decided to watch the match and I'm glad I did. PVA had a great debut, Zaha was awesome, Cabaye and McArthur were solid, Dann was back to his old self......and to top it off we did some good transfer business.

If we sold him for £3m and Bournemouth sold him for the same figure then 20% of zero is zero

I'm a very happy chappy this morning, even with a hangover brought on by that weird feeling of a win combined with a clean sheet.
Ended up drinking too much feeling too clever last night.
Who cares!

It got a bit worrying during the last 15 minutes when we allowed Bournemouth to push us back deeper and deeper and I had a horrible feeling that we would concede a goal in our usual fashion. Thankfully it was us who got the 2nd goal.

Overall, what we did see last night was some of those little signs of improvement that had been visible in our last 2/3 games coming to fruition. Our defence is beginning to look more solid and we look to have more shape and organisation in the way we play. We just look more purposeful and like we have a game plan.

Three points against Sunderland is vital if we are to keep the momentum going.

Ditto to all of that.

Damn. Well hopefully there'll be an international caps addon as well then.

There was a 15 minute spell last night where Bournemouth ran the show and I was concerned at that point that we were going to panic and capitulate like we have in recent games. So, the real change for me was that we did not fall apart during that spell which has to be a good thing. All teams will have hot spells during a match and it is how you deal with them. I am encouraged by what I saw last night and I have to say that is the first time this season that I have felt like that.
