Andre Marriner (46) from the West Midlands.

His previous two Palace matches this season were the home defeat v L'pool and the away defeat at Arsenal.

I can't think of many refs who haven't.

Hope Wilf isn't yellow-carded for "diving".

Marriner was the ref who was persuaded by a lino to award a last-minute penalty to Liverpool at Selhurst last season.

And we all know who tucked it way with consummate aplomb

Our struggles with refs this season remind me of the (2nd) Warnock era; every game, it seemed, turned against us on a dodgy refereeing decision. It seems the same way recently.

However, the real issue is that we're not scoring goals, so the value of penalties given against us or not given for us is amplified. If we start scoring goals again, without having a sieve of a defense, we will be able to cancel out the referee in most cases.

Still, at this point, anyone except Clusterf*** and Mike Dean is the best we can hope for (Dean with another howler of a match yesterday).

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football.
