Saw they were meant to be in block E yesterday but it didn't seem like they were, there was no drum and not too much noise from that block (more than the rest of the stadium though). Anyone know if they were there yesterday and if not why not. On a different note, was quite surprised at yesterday's attendance, so many empty seats around, I would have thought more people would have wanted to watch us against a big side

I guess most people knew we would get hammered by City with the players they have and their passion ???
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

They had the drum for about 15 mins in first half. Did not start drumming until well into first half. Atmos was s--t without it.

I saw on Twitter that a number (not sure how many) were refused entry as they had bought U16 tickets. Then some already in the ground left in protest. Maybe with the drum? Shame if true as many season ticket holders were unable to buy the usual season tickets seats as the club moved them for the HF.

I believe it was because they prepared a banner in support of safe standing, which was refused last minute at the turnstiles.

I thought most of them were under 16 It does say a lot about them that some of them are legitimately refused entry for fraudulently obtaining tickets to which they were not entitled, from a club they supposedly support, so the rest of them take their ball (or in this case drum) home in a sulk. If it was about a banner, then was that discussed with the club in advance; it would seem not? Edited by bexleydave (29 Jan 2017 4.50pm)
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Bexleydave it is also not right that supporters should get ripped off by the club they support. I believe yesterday's walk out was about the cost of tickets for the game

I didn't think we sold U16 tickets for the game, I'm pretty sure concession went right up to U18? Not that it makes much difference...
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

I believe yesterday's walk out was about the cost of tickets for the game No one was being 'ripped off'. Attendance at a sporting event is an entirely voluntary activity and, if you don't like the pricing structure, then don't go. Obtaining tickets, to which you were not entitled, fraudulently, is not the answer and those with invalid tickets were quite rightly refused admission. If the rest of them decide to then have a flounce that's entirely up to them. They have, quite rightly, no say in the running of Crystal Palace FC and represent a tiny proportion of the total support. Their self-important posturing is becoming increasingly tedious. We managed perfectly well before them, and we'll continue to do so when they're gone. My personal view is that what they supposedly bring to the atmosphere is somewhat overblown. Their major contribution now is smashing away on a drum and droning away in the corner with the vast majority of the rest of the ground not joining in. I have considerably more time for the group in the top corner of the Arthur Waite who at least stick to singing the 'classics'. Edited by bexleydave (30 Jan 2017 11.12am)
