im a bit worried.

we started out looking at jenkinson & evra one on loan and one on a reasonbly short deal but both would be classed as low rosk signings.

for whatever reason neither has signed now were looking at signing PVA for lets say 10m prob 40/50k a week and possibly chris samba who would be on reasonable wages i presume.

weve signed schlupp who is a wing back, and PVA is also a wing back.

i think i would rather we kept our cash in the bank and work with what weve got rather than throw good money after bad just for the sake of making signings.

im worried were goig down the wrong route here.

The fact that we are giving a trial to Samba supports your view. It worries me that BFS has only one way to manage and he is desperate to get in players that have played his way in the past. Ok you might say that that is wise but Samba !!!

I think PVA was always a target.

Fact is we need 2 left sided players and PatVan can play left back and Schlupp can play led mid/wing.

I do t see what the issue is here and we could of course do what Pardew did and hope it'll be alright or destroy Kelly there some more.

Yes Samba I'm not sold on but if SA knows about what he'll do through personal experience then hopefully he's going to get it right.

It's pretty clear we need players... If you'd rather we kept our cash would you still jump on Sams back every time we lost which if we don't strengthen the squad is going to happen???

Maybe you should wait and see who we sign rather than believing every rumour in the paper or on social media. So far we bought in one player basically a replacement for the departed bolaise for us to improve we need a natural LB, another CB as we only have 3. Also if we do apply the 3-5-2 used against everton. Powerful defensive midfielder to replace the departed jedinak. Also ward/kelly are weak links in the side, while the likes of jenkinson being targeted.

but we have strenghtened that side, we have signed schlupp at a massive £12m, a similar player.

if we were spending 10m on a central defender that would make sense but not 2 similar players. its not the money beig spent...its the manner it seems to be done thats worrying

Reckon the new defence needs to gell very well with each other very quick otherwise it relegation for us. its hard enough at the start of the season and pre season getting the defence to play together so 3 new defenders who don't know each other and adjusting to a new system and especially in January and in the position we are in its going to be very hard

He is a championship player, plenty of passion I grant you but not PL standard.

Must disagree, I love JW but he has been found wanting this season, this may be due to having to play out of position.
