A left back is key. And so relieving to have a bid accepted. It will be typical Palace that we haggle over £1 and a box of sausage rolls in his contract and he chooses Championship team Norwich in the middle of nowhere opposed to the London based Premier League team. Don't haggle Board, get him in!

Name would fit easily before a "Glad All Over" chorus - we would need to listen carefully to the initial team list before kick off. COYP

He made it in into the Dutch squad, though did not play. And he did play Champions League for Sporting, surprised they are letting him go. I have not seen enough of him to be certain, guess he is a gamble worth taking at that price.

Fingers crosssed re personal terms

Not that good. Should have went for his colleague Jefferson instead. Sporting wants a new left back, so they would have been willing to sell him too. Zeegelaar is exactly like Schlupp, struggling to find the ideal position between left back and left midfielder. He's an average left midfielder and an average left back.

Your link says that Norwich had had £4.3 million bid accepted by Sporting Lisbon. Isn't that the same as the OP that said that "us and Norwich had bids accepted" for 5 million euros?

OK, they seem to be in a better position off signing him, as player is having discussions with Norwich.
