Benteke had a sticky chest at the beginning of the season when he first arrived but I haven't seen so much of it lately.

However, to see him take that cross from Andros down, turn, shoot & score like that proves that he's not just the one trick pony that some on here seem to believe.

He got great service twice last night and put both away.

That's got to be encouraging.

I was sitting directly behind the goal. It was very good technique, and it demonstrates what he is very good at - taking down the ball from the air and holding off defenders. However, I do think the keeper probably should've saved it.

Because we've only had a small number of good ones (for example - Wilf, Dann before this season and Benteke) amongst a sea of mediocrity year-in and year-out. Not difficult to work out, really.

Benteke is top class and it's frightening to think how we would get on without him.
Players like Chamakh and Wickham are decent players but both are extremely injury prone.And even if they were not they would never get anywhere near the number of goals that Benteke does.You have only got to look at the guy's record he has an average of a goal every two games or so.Sam wouldn't, but we would be mad to sell him.
