Anyone want to explain to me how Bamford is valued at 10 million despite having failed dismally at 3 Premier League clubs, 4 if you count Chelsea, and why Middlesbrough would want him because I've not got a clue. No wonder Sam is looking abroad.

According to my son(chelski ST holder etc)

Mr EGO was sold for £3.75m for the very same reasons you have mentioned

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

He has played for 'Boro before. He did quite well. At Championship level.

I suppose they think he fits in with the team?

I'm guessing here though.....

Systematically dragged down by the lawmakers

just doesn't make sense, ive heard of inflation but inflation for someone who actually knows how to play football and score goals would make sense.

the guy was up there with gareth taylor, how he lasted so long in chelseas youth I have no idea.

Perfect example of how premier league player valuations have gone completely mad! As far as I know has never scored a premier league goal!

I'd suspect that it will be closer to £4 million plus a load of add ons that will never be paid. Even £4 million is too much.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Apparently, voted Championship player of the season while he was last on loan at Middlesbrough.
Agreed, though, this valuation makes Gayle look like the bargain of the century from a Newcastle perspective.

Murray scored for fun with us in the championship. and people to this day want him back up front even though he stuggled in the prem....same at Mr. Perm

Yannick Bolasie - Glenn Murray - Wilfried Zaha

Most exciting attacking trio at Selhurst Park in years.

Everyone here is chuffed to pieces they have signed him. He was really liked here when they were in the Championship and had him on loan (the year before we got him). Saw him play a few times at the Riverside and remember saying to several boro fan mates at the games that `yeah he can do that at championship level, but premier league defenders will be too strong for him to out muscle, are quicker than championship defenders and more importantly read the game much better` It's not often I am right but I was on this occasion.

But whatever anyone else says they see him through rose tinted glasses. They do accept he is a player who `needs some love` and will prob give it to him. I think the best analogy is how we felt about Wilf flopping at Man Utd and coming back to us......it worked for us but I just can't see it working for Bamford.

Wilf was never given a chance at Man Utd but he has proved himself at Premier League level.
But I am flabbergasted that anyone would pay any sort of fee for Bamford. When he was at the Palace I don't think he broke sweat, half the time he seemed more concerned with how his hair looked.
