John Terry on loan.

I noticed that John Terry was mooted for a loan to Bournemouth

If he can be loaned to Bournemouth, he could be loaned to Palace.

What do the good people of the Holmesdale think of this idea?

I'm interested, not just from an obvious clickbait perspective, but also in learning from your collective wisdom about football.

Is he a monster?
Would anyone care if he turned out to be a good influence on the team?
Do we want footballers to be whiter than white?

No, hang on, that's got terrible connotations that phrase (especially in a John Terry context). What I'm trying to say is, do we need them to be 'role models'? There's no position called Central Role Model on a football team, because there's no Moral High Ground on the pitch.

Another question: has anyone ever heard John Terry speak?

Never heard him speak although not sure his possible public speaking abilities are relevant to his footballing abilities.
A known fighter, would be an excellent loan signing given our plight and lack of fight!!

Thanks Bexley (you don't mind if I call you Bexley do you?)

I am intrigued to know whether Terry is really as horrible as he's made out to be

His team mates seem to like him. Even Ashley Cole.

I wonder if he'd make a good coach

He clearly wants to stay there and take his suit or tracksuit off like superman to reveal a pristine kit to lift the league trophy as he did for the champions league trophy.

He may well be, but he's been at one club for two decades and he's not going to have the same enthusiasm to save our arses as he has to see Chelsea as champions. Plus I doubt he'd even consider it for a nanosecond.

WHy would we want him he has been way past his best for years so the only thing he offers is experience which he has none of battling down the table.

He wouldn't leave Chelsea anyway even on loan
