All over the media that the Mags are weighing up a bid for Townsend to bring him back,where his key performances under Benitez nearly saved them from the drop last season.

It doesn't appear to be working for him with us, may be best to move him on. Mind you that could apply to most of the team at the moment.

I wonder how much they would be willing to pay for him as values seem to have changed a lot since the summer. If a Leicester reserve is worth £12m and a Championship winger from Norwich is worth the same surely Townsend must be worth more than we paid for him

I think Townsend has been very poor and hasn't ever since he through his toys out the pram about wanting to play on the right. He is a selfish player who wants to pick the ball up from the right and cut into the middle to shoot. He has shot outside the box 36 times which is about the 5th highest in the league. But the other players are at better team so have more shots in the box as well. If he became a team player then fine otherwise if we get our money back and can invest in somebody else then that would be great in my book.

Townsend is largely a one trick pony, cuts inside shoots, over the bar. How he is an England player is beyond me, but then how Hennessey is international level and how Ward are also beyond me. I really hoped Benteke would work as we aid sooo much, but he seems to have some sort of movement disorder. These are worrying times!

I was delighted when we signed him but he has been very disappointing. If he could get down the line and get a f***in cross in then we may be back in business. I can see it and I am sure the new manager can too.

I would personally pay for Townsend's taxi back to Geordieland. If it meant us selling him for a decent amount of moolah and either using the money for him on a decent winger (Brady or Young) or developing KaiKai, then I'll be quite happy. Biggest waste of money in Palace history.

Beyond a lot of people if you compare that with the non-use of Wilf in the England squad set-up (particularly this season, when he is playing the best football of his life thus far).

Big Fat Sam has to tell Mr. Townsend that, what he wants from him is crosses from the left wing to try and feed our Big Striker Benteke, and Wilf wil do it from right side of the field.He should not focus on cutting in from right hand side and shoot with his left foot .he got a good left foot and so let him use it for serving Benteke in the box, this the best way to use our best striker and the sooner BFS tells him that, the better.
