What exactly do goalkeeping coaches do. Is what we see in a match day warm up about it. Ours who's a great bloke by all accounts never played a 1st team game for palace or at a high level. Wayne doesn't seem to have improved at all and may have gone backwards. I loved that we had Pardew, Salako and Woody all old boys back but only if they're competent .

its a town full of losers, i,m pulling outta here to win

I think it's a fairly self-explanatory job title.

Hennesey is a lot better this season.

I'd imagine they, like other coaches, focus on keeping fitness to the role up, design practices for the keepers, specific exercise and work out routines and run practice sessions. They probably also attend courses and seminars on new tactics and training etc.

And like every coach the importance of positioning (which for goal keepers is really vital)

With younger players, you're probably teaching them about closing down angles, timing runs (and when not to run), how to move (very important for keepers for dead balls) and of course how to fall etc.

How to get a ball out of a net without getting tangled up.

This is a generic goalie comment, not aimed at Wayne or CPFC.

Bets laugh I have had all day Jamie...A couple of good saves do not make him a great goalie. he is like a wet sheet flapping in the wind when the ball comes near him and do not get me started on when he stands there waiting for a corner or free kick to come his way !!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.
