When interviewed, Sam was saying how he felt not enough 'recovery time' was key to yesterdays result. Does he have a point? In my opinion I would say yes, but it wouldn't be the key reason!

Most managers on their first home game 'connect'. with the crowd I did not see sam do that last night at all .... How can a professional person say " I think there is a greater challenge here than I first thought". REALLY ??? Guess we gonna see poor Keith Mullen sacked n Sammy Lee in next let's hope the team pull together and show the fighting comaradere spirit we expect of a palace team Coyp

They lost 0-3 at home to Bournemouth 3 days ago, yes THREE DAYS AGO, and got a reaction whereas we played 2 days ago, yes TWO DAYS AGO and didn't. Same for Bournemouth v Arsenal last night. Why the f*** weren't both those matches on Wednesday? Our's wasn't even on British tv.

Sorry I think it is our lack of fitness, that is the bigger factor in that shambles last night. I could understand it if Wilf had, had a shocker. He is covering enough ground for at least two players. They might have been a bit tired but they shouldn't have been that shattered. There are many other sports that compete for longer and more intensively than fooballers, tennis and cycling are just two that come to mind. Edited by Petts Wood Eagle (04 Jan 2017 7.41pm)

It may be a factor but I would like to know your thoughts on them finding some energy only after 60 mins. Fatigue for 60 mins and looking disinterested as well as completely inept for that period before waking up, in my opinion the 'only 2 days between games' is a bit dubvious although i thought BFS was very honest in his interview with other aspects. I do think he should have played players which weren't played vs Arsenal and I think he is at fault for that.

I do think he should have played players which weren't played vs Arsenal and I think he is at fault for that. It might also help if he played our wingers as wingers rather than extra full backs. Making them play deep meant their defenders could press way up the field hence isolating Benteke. His tactics also greatly contributed to our defeat. I am not defending Pardew but I guess he would have said Swansea have let more goals in than most in the Prem let us attack as compared to BFS a clean sheet is needed? Tiredness maybe but for me the managers tactics.

If it was tiredness that contributed to yesterday's defeat then a new fitness regime is required. On another note it was interesting to hear Allardyce saying right at the end of the interview that players, chairman and fans are going to get sick to death of him repeating the mantra of the necessity of keeping clean sheets if we are to survive.

Pleased to see Sam wearing a Palace tie - something Pardew rarely did. It shows a bit of respect for his employers and the fans.

It's fine with me. I'll get pi**ed off if he gives a big speech about laundering bedclothes and then ships five goals in a six-pointer, though.

Recovery time is a factor but Sam should not have been moaning about it in advance for example in the Arsenal post match interview. In the minds of the players this would have 'excused' their underperformance on Tuesday. A case of getting your excuses in early, poor leadership.
