Two of the clearest penalties I've ever seen

There is definitely an anti Palace bias among referees.

Something fishy is going on, and a fish rots from the head.

Yes, I blame Mike Riley. I think he must brief his underlings never to give anything to Palace, ever.

In the first penalty, the keeper clatters into Benteke. There's no dispute that Benteke got there first, and he didn't have time to hurdle the keeper.

The second one with Rangel defies all logic. How the ref can't give that, when he's yards away, and the Swansea man handles it twice, I don't know.

In terms of incompetence, that an 9.9 on the Clattenberg-Riley scale of Middle Man Myopia.

What an utter travesty. If Riley doesn't like level playing fields, he should officiate at the Harlem Globetrotters or wrestling or something.

Has anyone got anything to say in defence of this fiend in human form?

The first one I can kind of see how he might have missed it because at first sight it looked to me as if Benteke had jumped over and failed to stay on his feet. From the other angle it's clear that the keeper catches him so it should be a pen. Having said that of course Snotarse was given a pen on far, far less evidence.

The second one was a total disgrace and yet another absolutely disgusting decision with serious implications not only for the game but for the whole season. The ref was looking straight at it from a few yards away so must have seen it.

The first one's bad luck. The second one's either a bottle job or a fix.

Maybe Benteke would have fooled the keepr with one of his back passes

You never know.

I know we played badly, but come on. These are not poor refereeing decisions, they are BENT. It's the only explanation for clear, clear offences not being given to us on a weekly basis.
Penalties at very key times against Liverpool, Hull, Watford, two vs Swansea. Two fated by Rojo and offside handball goal vs Manure, and dive by Snodgrass. All of the top of my head.
You can't keep picking yourself up and dusting yourself off. It eventually wears you down and kills your hope.
I repeat, I know it's not the only thing, but this is becoming personal.

The keeper didn't have to touch him. By making him hurdle him he impeded him and it's a penalty. Bent ref.

Your all grabbing at straws, the penalties weren't given, that's it.
The truth is, we were absolute sh-te tonight, didn't deserve to get anything.
The total lack of effort was an embarrassment against a team who didn't have to play well to make us look as if we have accepted defeat as the norm.

Technically correct, but he's not going to give it unless he sees contact (or unless he is Mike Jones).

Then again this lot looks as though they might give or not give any damn thing irrespective of the Laws.

*Waits for Willo to defend the refs decision* The first one i can see why "possibly" it wasn't given but the 2nd was so obvious that he swipes the ball with his hand and the ref is right next to him, I'd love to know his excuse.

Worry not guys, Willo will be along soon to explain how those decisions were correct, and from the refs angle it was probably a foul by Benteke and accidental handball so the ref was correct....
Bit I reckon the ref is just bent/corrupt!
