Interesting interview, admits he was wrong in the cup final but too little too late for me. Only said anything because he was criticised. Doesn't bring back the paIn he caused and joy he could have brought.

awful referee every time I've seen him in a palace match so he's either biased or crap votes?

So he's admitted he was wrong but Willo was adamant he was right at the time. Is Cl******* saying Willo was wrong too then?
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

Good God, Willo wrong? About St Mark? I need a stiff drink. 2016 has been a bad year but this tops everything.

While reading that interview is no consolation for the decisions he has given against us, it does at least demonstrate that he thinks he's made errors of judgement. I think we would all be more sympathetic towards officials if they were allowed to explain themselves more in the media, but of course the FA sees it differently.

A very honest assessment from Mark.Perhaps the 'Anti-Clattenburg' fraternity will bear this in mind before they hurl their vitriol and cast judgement on his honest, integrity and character. I looked at the incident from Clattenburg's point of view deciding that in the case of Wickham he wasn't to know if he was going to get back upright and it wasn't as if the ball had broken to one of our players. As things turned out, Mark realises that if he had delayed the whistle by a second or so play would have continued.Split-second decisions and fine margins.

He is very honest and of course this is refreshing. All referees err from time to time and consider whether they could have done things differently in a game. Reading the vitriol directed at me one would think that I have said referees are ALWAYS right ALL of the time - I have never said this and it would be ludicrous to do so.

I met Mark in a nightclub in Cleethorpes and he told me he thinks you're a butt head.

You've done it again as you always do. People post their own points of view on here. If Clattenf*^k cared to do so he could post on here as well. However You Willo have constantly argued and would not have it from anyone on Hol that MC was anything other than right in his decision making on the day. Well now you have it from the man himself. He f*ck"d up again bigtime again! But worse than that you also profess to be able to analyse incidents from his point of view (does MC know about this)? I'd be fu%k worried if that were me! Perhaps you should have conducted that press interview for him, save him the stress and time eh! Best thing you could do with your spare time is give Clattenf*^k a ring and start his fan club for him.

No offer made yet, but this says he'd consider a move to China! Let's hope that offer comes soon . . .

Give Mark some credit for this please. As for "From his point of view" if you had read my posts thoroughly you would have seen me say that I look at it from a "Referee's" point of view so I was not being specific in relation to Clattenburg.I qualified as a referee, albeit a long while ago, and my experience gives me a certain insight into angles of vision etc etc.Besides I talk to some senior referees so I do keep in touch ! NOT "Name dropping" just mentioning this to give a certain credence to my viewpoints.
