As a tribute to my son in law and many of my friends I have written a song / produced a video on Youtube - all a bit of fun. [Link]

If you are going to the Arsenal game today please think about taking / sending a selfie to CPFans@Irmamusic.com - The video on this post provides all the information and although I've received a number of photos from supporters a few more would be welcome...

This is my final call for photos - so if you are going to watch the Swansea game tonight please take/send a (hopefully smiling triumphant) selfie to CPfans@IrmaMusic.com to be included in the video. If the game is boring or not going so well it will help to take your minds off the match - hopefully that is not the cue for thousands of selfies!!

Apparently, late in the 19th century, my great, great grandfather refused to buy flowers from a gypsy* at Victoria** underground station who then said all his male descendents would be committed to supporting Crystal Palace Football Club until said curse was broken. *This is family folklore known to be factually inaccurate inasmuch as I made it up. **At the time, Victoria station was actually a dog track*** ***Also made up.

Because my dad doesn't like football. If he did, I'd probably have been a Reading or Oxford United fan, so thank heavens for small mercies.

Old man was a Spurs fan, but moved down to Croydon when I was 18 months old. That gave me 2 choices - Spurs fan in the 60s/70s when there was less coverage (although MotD and then the Big Match on Sundays was nice) or getting off my @rse and going to the Palace either with a mate or on my own from the age of about 11. My Dad moved from Kings Cross to Battersea when he married my mum - left with with legitimate claims to Spurs (Dad), Chelsea (all of my Mum's side and my birthplace) or Palace. What a bl00dy idiot!
