Just been reading an article about his antics. Twitter is awash with suggestions of his bias towards Spurs..he has reffed them 3 times this season, he has sent off an opposition player every match and given Spurs 2 penalties. Watch the warm handshake, near hug given to him by Dembele when he was substituted (the same player that scored, when it looked like Dean was celebrating against AV)

Do you really want a situation whereby the authorities highlight stats to a referee as described above which could of course influence his decision making during a game ? Anyhow I'm not going to get involved any further in this debate and the "Conspiracy" theories, because as sure as night follows day it will evolve into a WILLO thread full of vitriol, vituperation and risible allegations. Happy New Year to you all !

Wasn't there some rubbish about Howard Webb favouring Man Utd a few years ago. It's all Bull, made up by conspiracy theorists and people with overly large chip on their shoulder.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

Could probably find some stats on any ref - there was one (now retired) who seemed to be lucky for Leeds United. Apparently Leeds never lost when he officiated, and twice he awarded a penalty for Leeds at Old Trafford. He also disallowed a goal for Palace against Leeds at Selhurst that put us out of the FA Cup even though pictures show the ball clearly crossed the line. Conspiracy or something more sinister?

Maybe they were, I did not suggest otherwise. You know darned well I have never said this. I have consistenty stated that referees are only human and will err from time to time but these are honest mistakes made due to having to make split-second decisions in a fast moving scenario without the aid of umpteen TV cameras and replays. If that's the game against Leeds I'm thinking it was as the ref didn't give the goal he should have given a penalty and a red card to the defender who handballed it after it went in. Week night game & shocking reffing.

Why can you not entertain the notion that he could not possibly see that the ball had crossed the line ? That it was a genuine mistake ? Edited by Willo (31 Dec 2016 10.10am)

Week night game & shocking reffing. For accuracy... it was a Sunday afternoon FA Cup game live on the telly. Not only did Gallagher not give us the goal and/or penalty for handball.... he gave a free kick to Leeds that should have been ours and allowed it to be taken before we could organise our defence and allowed Harry Kewell to score! I've also witnessed Gallagher apply bias to WBA against us by sending off Sorondo from miles away when he got the ball! See the footage below... Superb match though (despite Gallagher) I was there!
