I know it is all in the past but pretty outrageous if you ask me. Not so much reacting to the sacked chant but saying he never meant to take us up just confirmed what I thought at the time that he was never ready for it. Makes us look a bit silly though!

He was begin sarcastic - implying that he masterminded their defeat/demise and that he should be respected for that.

Personally i wouldn't have said anything

Right, you must clearly know that whatever comes out of his mouth, he won't have meant disrespect to Palace, he fell on his sword when he didn't have to remember.

He always had a thing about crowds and chants. Criticised us a couple of times when chanting similar things to away managers.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

..yes, he was being sarcastic and it does show how he crumbles under pressure, not thick skinned enough which is a shame because he is a very funny and entertaining man, Klopp is like him a little, but Klopp can control his emotions very well.

Although he probably was being sarcastic his voice didnt sound it. Just another soundbite from the man but he didnt need to bring it up really.

..he doesn't want other people to feel the hurt he feels, When things are going well he is over the top with jokes etc because everyone around him is happy with him, when it goes tits up he wants to hide under the carpet and get away from the not so nice comments.

..it is because peoples comments have such a huge effect on him that he feels the need to bring it up whenever he can, his humour is completely tied up with expressions as well, it's almost an illness for him.

No Premier League Palace without Ian Holloway.

Lest we forget.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

His record in the 12 months he was with us was awful overall. We got promotion despite him not because of him.
