Hennessy- 4- nothing to do for 70 mins. Difference between Wayne and a top class prem keeper is homework. Gomes clearly puts in the hours and can read where a PK taker is likely to put the kick. Fat boy Deeney was clearly going to smash straight down the middle ( as per his last 4 pens) yet he dives to the right. Mandanda to reclaim no. 1 as soon as he is fit without any pressure.,

Kelly- 4- as much composure as an 7 year old. He know full well that as soon as we can sign a new LB in the window he'll be back on the bench and I think he knows that's his place. Can't recall seeing a player as uncomfortable with the balk at his feet. Understudy and nothing more.

Dann- 6- average performance. Doesn't look the threat in the imposition box as in previous years and low confidence from last few is still obvious. Needs to take control as skipper or Big Sam should bring in a leader.

Ward-6- again very average. Last 18 months we have needed a rb to push Wardy for his place. He rarely has a stinker but can't remember the last time he stood out.

Flamini- 5- plays the easy ball which is good to see but got bullied by the physical dominance of Capoue and Guediora. If rumours are true, won't be heartbroken to see him go to Marseille in January.

Cabaye- 7- decent finish for the goal and showed glimpses of quality in a game severely lacking in any. Still offers an abysmal set piece which is concerning.

Punch- 5- the game seemed to pass him by for long periods. Hasn't scored, created or threatened in weeks now. If we had any strength in depth he should have been dropped a while ago.

Townsend- 7- aside from the Stoke game it was easily his best performance in a Palace shirt. Clearly wanted to impress Big Sam and done well for an hour. Still needs to start testing keepers from long range if he wants to shoot but overall he was decent.

Zaha- 6- nowhere near his best. Played well for first half hour but clearly got wound up by Kaboul. Only really woke up
again when he was shifted back to the right flank after Townsend was subbed. Could have won a penalty if it wasn't film clattenberk but Still on an average day he looks like our best player.

Benteke- 5- won lots of aerial duels but also gave away at least a dozen fouls for jumping with elbows up. Sick up his PK stutter already. 2 misses in crucial games at crucial times crosses the border from confidence to arrogance. Let punch just pick a corner and smash it.

Subs.

Mutch- 3- championship calling his game in Jan.

Campbell-6- actually puts himself about during his brief spell on the pitch. Still lacks the quality to play 90 mins but can't fault the effort.

-----------------------------------------

Overall- 5- we dropped 2 points against a very poor Watford team. Losing 2 players in the opening 10 mins meant they were struggling. The penalty miss killed our confidence and gave Watford hope. The equaliser was sadly inevitable given our record or clean sheets. After a bright 20 mins of playing decent football we got drawn into
Watfords mess of hoof ball that was scrappy. Some work to be done in January to guarantee survival.

Maybe we would have done better with eleven men on the pitch

Early days of new reign, take longer than 2 days to rid the team of the Pardew mindset which has put us in this position.

Bring back Brolin

I was referring to the OP. He used to post a lot, had a pathological hate of Clinton and then disappeared off the face of the earth.

Unlik the rest of us he must have got himself a life

I think that I must have watched a different game as I thought Hennessy, Kelly and Flamini did OK
