What are people's drinks of choice. Remember a bit of snobbery on another thread with ale v lager a while ago. Anyone a spirits and mixer only type of person?

Whisky snob here. No blended stuff and definitely no mixers. One tiny ice cube at most on very rare occasions otherwise leave it as God made it you heathens

Love a real ale or three too and haven't touched fizzy lager or fizzy cider p1ss for over a decade. Disgusting stuff that they should pay you to drink not charge.

When I am in treating myself mode, I like Clayva, or Kummel - the latter makes a nice long drink of two measures topped up to the half pint with chilled pineapple juice (but no ice).

I quite like cherry coke, but it's too high in sugar really. Also have an energy drink addiction (in particular Monster and Rockstar) but have given them up for nearly 12 months now.

Mainly fizzy lager p1ss.
Sometimes red wine (non-fizzy).
And occasionally when it's cold, strong/sweet coffee with cream and a drop of whisky.

Ales - too many to list, the choice is endless. Brew my own at home too.

On the shorts front, straight brandy when the mood takes me (not often) or gin and tonic (ooh, how posh).

Oh, and don';t judge me, but cider IF I've been working, and it's hot, and I fancy something cold. Always keep fizzy-lager-pop in the house for guests (but it invariably goes out of date before it's drunk)

Quite partial to a low peaty single malt and a few peaty. Black Kraken rum has become a recent favourite and I have just discovered sipping gins which are astonishing.

I love a pinot noir as well, king of the reds if you ask me.

Ale vs Lager - Is for pussys, as Porter is the king of beers.

Advocaat and lemonade.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Guinness. About 90% of the time.

If I can find it, a Moretti - but I tend to swerve lagers unless it's scorchio and I'm double thirsty. Don't mind a cider in the summer.

I'll enjoy the occasional porter and pale ale but not something I can stick to for the night.

All Meantime pints are superb. Their London Stout even beats a good Guiness.

Spirits it's JD & coke, G&T or an Amaretto & coke. Never really enoyed neat whisky or brandy and I'm old enough now to stop pretending I do.

Red wine - Usually reach for a Merlot or Malbec.

Never really drink at home so - Fizzy pop. Vanilla coke, Dr Pepper or Cherry coke. Ashamedly, all made by Coca Cola which I vowed I'd boycott after reading the Mark Thomas book. Lasted all of two months. Nothing else comes close

And I go through a good handfull of Costa large lattes a week.

In a pub, beer (lager sometimes in summer)
During a meal wine, red or white.
After a meal, gin and tonic. The tonic probably being more important than the gin. Has to be out of a tin or bottle, not from a tap which often tastes of syrup.

One thing I can't stand is alcohol in a pudding.
