I thought we played ok this week
Cabaye looked much better
McArthur was McArthur always good
Losing by the odd goal against Man U and Chelsea is no disgrace
But we are lacking that lil bit of class upfront and in defence
Benteke has GOT TO hold the ball up better
Townsend I feel for , he needs games to get confidence but wont get games unless he plays better .
We will be ok
We wont go down , it will be close , but we will stay up

It was better but still not great.

I said the same thing once the game had finished, lack of quality up front. I thought Benteke was poor today although in his defence he had no service but the few occasions he got the ball his touch was poor, no doubting the effort but no quality especially with the ball at his feet.

I actually think we will go down with AP in charge, he looks a beaten man and I don't believe he can get us out of this hole he has dug us into.

We're 3 points off bottom albeit with a much better goal difference, I can't see us beating Watford and we never beat Arsenal so I can see us propping up the table in January.

Time for Parish to act and get rid of teflon

No point when his teammates do not move off the ball and find space. Just watch Chelski's movement off the ball, don't blame CB

And that's why Pardew is still in a job.
I said last week we will have three glorious defeats and somehow screw up at Watford. I'm 50% there after today.
We have put up two really good showings, set up solidly and really deserved a point from each game. Many will disagree, I know, but we did.
Credit to Wilf for once again sacrificing his game to protect Kelly and it worked as Kelly was far more assured, even to the point of getting forward and putting in two of the best crosses of the day. Trouble is, in his current form we really need Wilf getting at them, not babysitting.
Once Chelsea were in front and we tried to push Wilf on, Chelsea just stopped the supply to him and Benteke and took them both out of the game and for the last twenty minutes the end of game push I expected, never materialised.
Such a shame Hennessey gifted them the goal just before half time and once again an individual error cost us the game, possibly?

..Chelsea are a very hard nut to crack and they prevented Benteke and the balls to him from hurting them at will...this is because they are Chelsea and we are Palace.

..no, I feel they did enough to win it, they could see we were well organised for a change and it wasn't easy to score but once they did they have such a strong unit in defence that they could just enjoy the rest of the match knowing they could stop our threat from puncheon and Zaha which they did very well, Fàbregas was wonderful for them to bring on and highlighted beautifully the difference between the sides, we were solid today and it took a world class cross and header to beat us and that is why with Pardew we will never go down.

..I'm sure Mr Pardew understands that his team need to win this game to save him and I'm expecting them to really go for it, I can see a win, especially after today's strong sturdy performance.

Very good summary especially the Wilf bit.

Watford is now a must win game to keep us out of the bottom 3, which is guaranteed if we lose both to them and Arsenal.
Pardew must be given one more chance at Watford and should we lose, he should be fired after 2 years in charge and 2 years of excuses in a results driven business, for God's sake!!

The same Mr Pardew who has managed all of our 6 wins in 42 matches; a success rate of 15% which, is an utter disgrace. Just to put this into perspective Mr Moyes got sacked at Real Solciedad for a win rate of 28.57% over the same number. Even at lowly Sunderland he has managed 6 in 20.
It makes you think that Mr Pardew's tefloness knows no bounds!

So OK as you say then and not EXCELLENT?

If you watch the games again it's like watching attack v defence drills. Hopefully it'll do us some good because nothing super well below average Al does has any effect.
