If we could have just closed out Burnley, Swansea and Hull we would be sitting in the top ten next to Man U. Fine margins and all that. These injuries are unfair at this point. When Pards played a 4-4-2 with Wickham and Tekkers up front I was starting to think he was on to something and then Connor goes out for season. We have had plenty of bad luck and injuries. Pards has made loads of calls wrong, but some have been good. He is too arrogant to really reflect on it all though.

We concede late goals and throw away leads with such consistency that we're past the point of saying 'fine margins', 'bad luck' etc - we have to recognise that it's a fundamental problem with our set-up rather than something that happens to everyone occasionaly.

True, but out of those three we took 1 point, where we had to really look to be taking 5 points minimum. We also scored 9 goals in those three games, against teams that struggle to score, let alone win games. Burnley, I can live with, they're very good at home. But the other two, scoring 7 goals in two games, and getting 1 point is very poor. Doing it against a Swansea side and Hull side that struggled to score more than one a game is unforgivable. We need a proper defensive midfielder and a full back - probably a centre back as well. Plus we are very reliant on Beneteke, who is really our only fit striker. If he gets crocked we are proper f**ked. If we can keep Flamini fit, that'll really go a long way to helping. We looked so different defensively first half against united.

We did the same thing last night, only the linesman saved us. Minutes after scoring, the ball was in the back of the net. At best that was toes offside...

Middlesbrough, Swansea, Hull and Sunderland. I doubt they have worse starters than us. If they could, I doubt WBA, Watford and Bournemouth would take any players from us bar Benteke, Zaha maybe MacArthur. Maybe Cabaye and Townsend if they haven't watched their recent form. Each of those teams have 6 or more players I wouldn't mind having.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Why should pardew be any different? Otherwise I agree your points. Sadly, most of the posters on here see pardew out ... And then their brains run out and they have to have a lie down.

And of course no other team has injuries, bad luck, bad refereeing decisions.....just us, poor pardew, must think he's been cursed for 2016. Let's hope the curse is lifted for 2017. Now going for a lie down, my head hurts.

..through bad luck and unfortunate silly moments with points lost (unfairly considering how the players tried and actually performed) in the last moments we could very easily at this moment have another four points, that would make us very mid table and all this sad talk would have no meaning, we are being very silly over the sake of four points... Four points, putting us below Stoke very mid table.
