I felt a bit for Pardew last night
I think anyone who felt we could beat United before the game were really wishful thinking , then with 10 minutes to go we could maybe nick it so he throws on Campbell and we lose !!
If we win he's a hero
We lose and he's a crap manager
Yes it's happened before ,
But hey hindsight is a wonderful thing
I myself would have taken the draw , but 3 points in this division are like gold dust and Pardew obviously felt we had a chance to get them .

Not sure the time between the substitution and goal was enough to blame the substitution seemed like barely a minute to me

the dignified don't even enter in the game

When that sub was made not only did every fan scream at him (certainly around me) but we all knew what would happen. Wonder how the players felt?

For me this is always the problem, He goes for Glory and there is a time and place for it. We were on for a bonus point and he goes for glory when we should scrapping for any point we can get. If we were on top then maybe (probably not) i would understand him going for all 3, but we were completely bossed in that game which makes it an even more ridiculous decision.

Like someone else has said maybe the substitution was to close to the goal to have a real effect, but it would have effected our shape and possibly concentration. No sympathy for Pardew as he makes the same mistakes over and over again and is to arrogant to learn from them.

Even though there were only a couple of minutes left, Mourihno showed how to manage a game, got there goal, dropped Ibra back got the 3 points...

The way i see it is, why worry in his shoes, u go for the win and get it, as you say his a hero. if he looses like he did and so what he gets talk of a 5 million pound pay off, will be in work within 2-3 months somewhere else! so being the gambling man he is anyone surprised! i just don't want the gamble to be with my team !

He has proven way to many times with all his teams not just us he doesn't get tactics of seeing out a game!

How likely was it that we would get the ball up to campbell and he would score?

We were far likelier to nick it by winning the ball in front of the defence, breaking quickly and putting Zaha or Benteke in.

Remove McArthur and any chance of that is f***ed.

No way of knowing if the sub made a difference as Macca plays more advanced than the other two, but it didn't need to be made. I really want to know why he did it?
I believe it's time to move him on, but I also wonder how we'd be doing if the correct decisions were being made in our favour. Yes we benefitted from two in the second half, but the big one was the Rojo challenge in the first half. Remember he was also the last man when he failed to impede Ward enough in the Cup final and Clattenburg cheated to keep another last man on the pitch.
Bad manager or not, he's clearly upset a lot of refs.

Hindsight is great , but learning lessons is important too.

I wonder if AP thought at any point , what happened when I took McArthur off in the last game against Hull ?
Enforced or not.

Sub made little difference. It came down to Cabaye falling on his backside while being jinked by Pogba who fed Ibrahimovic etc. Shame as I thought Cabaye played his best game for a long time and I liked the way he linked up with Flamini in the first half. Bring on Chelsea.

Cabaye chose a really poor time to stumble on the turn.

Indeed...unfortunately. Pardew should have proably taken off Benteke instead of McArthur. Benteke did not have one of his better games.
