Awful against Hull. Kept drifting inside when we were crying out for an outlet on the left. Replaced by Zeki at half time. Anyone else massively frustrated at his poor performances? He needs to start putting a shift on asap.

Bah. Drop him. Play Fryers or Lee instead. They may not (at least yet) be world class, but they both look better than Townsend just now. Jeez-oh, at least they try.

I think he knew Wilf can play down both flanks so was going to use him on the left, trouble is that Wilf has made more impact than Townsend down the right by scoring or assisting in most games so he doesn't want to change that. Townsend just isn't a left winger, another good winger for competition wouldn't do us any harm anyway. I'm sure Wilf will go off the boil at some point and Townsend may then get a chance and take it.
