Could be AP's Mark Robbins moment.

Think we were due to be fair. Shows the fine margins you deal with at this level. Think back to last week where we had the ball bouncing straight off Dann's face to Fer, the pinball against Burnley, deflections aplenty etc. Looked like Forster had an injury to me, he seemed reluctant all game to kick it long off his right foot and was stretching it out at one point too? Might explain why he took such a wid swipe with his wrong foot...
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

Doesn't matter that it was his wrong foot. Fine margins eh!

Or, Maybe AP got his selection right and the defence is now sorted. Or, Southampton made the wrong selection as they never looked like scoring. I didn't think our defence were at their strongest on the flanks. JW and JT didn't look entirely comfortable, but something had t give and I thought we looked comfortable for long spells or the game. Or, you're right. Forster has helped AP get a reprieve and Palace get the chance to breathe and work on their defence further. Bring on Hull. COYP!

McCarthy made a similar clanger for us against Liverpool last season but Forster stands on one leg better. McCarthy went to Saints so they have obviously been working on it.

Forster's mistake certainly gifted us the lead. I wonder also how much of the change in fortune was due to our injuries forcing the team on AP rather than any tactical genius?

Makes a change that we have a player watching the keeper just in case of any error that they might make.
