Yes please. And perhaps you could bring some decent defenders with you from Serie A, and organise them properly. Would be nice to see out a match comfortably with 10 minutes to go. Oh how I long for the days when Julian used to polish the ball before hoofing it up the pitch - guaranteed yellow card after the third time, but we always held on for the points.

To slightly dispel the Serie A = great defence theory, Mancini once had Vincent Kompany and Jerome Boateng in the same team and couldn't stop enough goals going in.

Mancini would be a great choice if Pardew is sacked. He would introduce organisation and fitness to our squad who on paper are decent. Financial backing to fund a few newcomers would be vital. His old mate Lombardo would be fantastic too. Please let Christmas come early should AP lose on Saturday.

It still amazes me how far we've come, that there's rumours involving Mancini, rather than Warnock.

Would he be our first non-British/Irish manager other than Lombardo's strange little spell in the 90s? Can't think if another one.

Its a yes from me. I've not been in the 'out' brigade partly because there's no real improvements in the frame. Mancini is a BIG improvement. I'm surprised he's interested tho!

London Club, top 15 global wage bill, massively underperforming. I imagine that would be very attractive for someone like Mancini.
