Is it time for the return of speroni. Both hennessey and mandanda have made errors this season. I would like to see him in goal against Southampton, in this important game of the season.

Anyone else feels speroni may give the fans more confidence in keeping a clean sheet.

I thought Hennesey did well against Swansea, except maybe for the first goal, as he moved too early. Otherwise the issue with the goals conceded really lands with our defence.

That old tulip.

He's a good guy, loved by the club.. he's just not good enough anymore. Muscle bound, not mobile enough.

He's special - wouldn't want to tarnish that.

His last game was at Southampton last day of last season and he was found wanting then. No thanks.

I agree that responsibility lies with the defence. However, I watched that save from Ashley Barnes in the playoffs at Brighton and I have to say I wish he was back between the posts.

No thanks. It's Hennessey for me.

What's the worst that could happen? Surely he can't do any worse than the mute statue Hennesey. I think it would give the crowd one hell of a lift.

I feel sure Jules keeps himself fit as much as the other goalkeepers as he is in training when they are.
He still has a lot to offer and would pleasantly surprise quite a few on these boards on how he is still good and cannot be any worse than the other two who have tried!!!

Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky.

It's more the physiological lift, Jules has a bank of goodwill that Pardew doesn't.

We all love Jules but this is not the time for him.
Hennessey played pretty well, I thought. Keep him in.
The man most at fault at those disastrous Swansea set pieces was Benteke when he failed to stay with the man he was allocated to mark (3 times) as highlighted on MOTD. This left Wayne in a terrible position on those three occasions. Should have done better with the free kick though.
However, you wouldn't drop Benteke at this time but have a word in his ear.
We were doing so well until Wickham (chasing back) got his nasty injury.
Townsend was the obvious sub then (he needs to be played to get over his ineffective spell).
No luck in several games but errors have been horribly basic. Not Pardew's fault (opinion).

We move in the direction of our thoughts.
Just think a little.

No way, his time has gone. We don't need someone who has been sitting on the sidelines for 18 months coming in at this point.
