Although pardew took us to the cup final and keep us up last season. He certainly didn't warrant a new contract which now keep him here until 2020. Reports out of the times newspaper suggest should palace sacked pardew it will cost the club 5 million pounds. Had he not signed his new deal,I'm sure pardew wouldn't be our manager with this current form. Thoughts

He will still be gone in two games if the results don't go well regardless. Hopefully we get 6 points though.

I agree it was dim. My issue is that if the Times story is true, then SP probably feels tied to the decision, having persuaded his new Yankee friends that it was the right course of action. So he's perhaps not being as ruthless as he should be because there's pride at stake.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

As I posted elsewhere - given the second half of last season the contract should have been withdrawn awaiting better results this season!

A very few of us including myself suggested last season that it was the wrong time to be extending his contract as he hadn't really done enough to warrant it and we were roundly pilloried at the time
