Just watched the re run of this game - can't believe
The change in how the players body language is, yep great we won but we had a lot of fight and passion - I don't go to all the games but watch as may as I can, I've been going to Selhurst since 1968 yep fooking old, if my business was doing this badly I'd have to do something to address the slump no one can afford to lose money - to me I think the players are not behind the manager -
Id like nothing better than donkey to succeed but the longer it goes on the harder it is to rectify.

It's not always about 'Fifa' or 'football manager' stats. You can't define human beings like that.

Is a prime Flamini playing for Arsenal a better player than prime Jedinak? Absolutely. Who would give more for Crystal Palace as a club and elevate their levels to higher than what they should be just to help the club out of a scrap? Jedinak every day.

Who is the better footballer out of Townsend or Bolasie? Townsend without a doubt. Who would play without fear like they are the best player in the world even when 3-0 down at Old Trafford? Bolasie all day long.

That's just 2 examples but I won't exhaust my point. There are some clubs and players that just fit and get much more out of a player than on paper they should be capable of. As a result the club benefits hugely.

It amazes me how many people actually work in football and still seemingly look to paper stats to judge what will be better for their club rather than the heart and soul of a player. Yes of course they need more than just heart and soul but if they have that bit of skill with it we'd be far better off having the likes of Murray, Gayle, Bolasie and Jedinak still at the club despite Wickham, Remy, Townsend and Cabaye supposedly being massive upgrades.

Sorry, went on a bit of a tangent there! Great game and lovey to ruin Gerrard's day.

My overarching point is damn I wish we still had that team.

What's most alarming is Pardew's ability to turn the one kind of player into the other.

I reckon just getting rid of him would give the team a boost.

I think everyone's got the message now. You don't like him.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
