Pardew"There will be changes"

In yesterday's post match interview Pardew mentioned that there would be changes for the next game.

I must admit I thought the same; personnel-wise we've practically run out of options. It's training (drilling if you like) and tactics that need to be worked on and it's very worrying indeed that Pardew can't admit that. The only personnel change he needs to make is to stop putting Kelly at LB as it's a role he's patently unsuited to.

I imagine we might finally see Fryers start and Ledley come back in with Wickham out. Personally I would find a place for Delaney as we need his character on the pitch right now. I would drop Kelly for Delaney and see how he gets on at LB. Surely he can't be worse?

Fully agree, Delaney should have come on yesterday at 4-3 up to preserve our lead with his no nonsense style. Hard to believe Pardew prefers Fryers over Delaney!. Hope Delaney starts on Saturday. The Southampton game was the final straw for Warnock will it be the same for Pards ?.

Pardew prefers Fryers over Delaney because he gets forward and creates attacks down the wings, and also because he is actually a left-back whereas Delaney isn't really. I can see some sense in that, but it doesn't stop him putting Delaney on when we need to see a game out. But then Pardew could no more get a team to see a game out than he could fly in the air.

Play Speroni, Fryers, Boateng, Mutch, Chungy, Sako and Flamini. Not fan favourites many of them, but the fan favourites have been f***ing up monumentally on a weekly basis. Game management is down to the players. Hate on Pardew by all means, but stop exonerating this spineless bunch.
