Made me smile when his possible move into management was discussed in the Durham show yesterday on TalkSport. The reason that Durham gave repeatedly was that he has had no previous experience of management and therefore should not dare take the step. A certain Sir Steve came to mind and prior to becoming manager of us had no previous experience only been an England international and played for a big club, exactly the same as Gerrard. Surprised no one brought this up and because Durham wanted centre stage supposed he didn't want it explained. Bold move on Gerrards part and wish him the best of luck.

But he has been in talks and of course it is a possibility that he could go there. Will be seen as real coup by MK Dons.

With respect, it was simpler times and Sir Steve has a totally different mindset than Gerrard.

MK Dons have a history of appointing people with very limited management experience (with a relatively good success rate) and he is a big name so could attract interest and players to them. For Gerrard I don't get it. Plus I've not seen anything to suggest he can do a good job anyway (he was an indisciplined player and has struggled very badly in the MLS as his playing ability wanes)
