Away ticket pricing

Capping away tickets at a maximum of £30 was welcome, but it seems that clubs are interpreting it as THE price for away tickets. Clubs that charged less than £30 have put their prices UP. Hull City are charging us £30. Hull's prices vary according to category of matches. They range from £9 -£33 depending on category. Last time we were there it cost us £18. Assuming we are a category C game for them, home fans for the equivalent part of the stadium will pay £15. The very top price will be £27. Our seats will be the MOST expensive in the ground. This is totally against the spirit of the new rule.

You say that, but there were probably more clubs that charged over £30 so it probably makes no difference. Your expensive tickets are a little cheaper and the cheaper tickets are a little more. I paid £45 for West Ham away last season!

when this came in I read an article saying that this would happen , good thing that prices come down but annoying the clubs that were cheap have upped their prices , but the above poster is right ,probably averages out when west ham and Chelsea used to charge £45 the cnuts Edited by richard shaw (og)65 (17 Nov 2016 12.03pm)

Absolutely. There are far more wins than losses. Overall, its a move in the right direction. I'm north-west based, so have paid £46 at Man U and over £40 at Liverpool and City. It's just galling that a measure to reduce prices has resulted in a hefty increase, this time to make ours the most expensive seats in the stadium. I'm worried too about the unintended consequences of the new rule about ensuring away fans get some pitchside seats. They are thinking of Sunderland and Newcastle sticking us up in the gods, but Old Trafford give a decent view to away fans and their pitchside seats are some of the worst in the ground. They are going to have to change the away section to include them, and I bet it won't be a change for the better.

Serious question I am sure that when a club that has been relegated from the Prem and then promoted again their parachute payments stop and that money is then divided by the other Premier League Clubs. Am sure it was decided at a meeting of the clubs that the money should be used to support Away travelling fans.
