Palace Passion Flag Bromley, South London 14 Nov 16 11.51am Send a Private Message to Palace Passion Add Palace Passion as a friend

Me and the Mrs are getting married in the summer of 2018. I wanted to inquire about having Selhurst Park as the venue but they never emailed me back so I ended up booking another venue. Has anyone got any ideas of what sort of thing we can have to do with Palace at the wedding. I think we are having red and blue themed bridesmaids and table decorations and I'll be wearing a Palace tie if I can find one the colour I want. Any other ideas?

Don't turn up until the reception, and then claim that you've done well, by establishing a significant presence at the wedding in the second half, despite the fact the wedding was effectively over by the time the guests arrived in the evening.

Then proclaim that getting wed is not a priority to the bride and family, and see how well they take that...

Palace themed tables for the reception?

- Freedman table for the ones you love but have fcuked you over in the not too distant past and you can't fully trust them still
- Lombardo table for the really cool ones you were friends with for the three years at university but basically haven't seen since then and know it's because they are way too cool and good for you
- Big Nige Martyn table for the most solidly dependable friends you have
- Samson table for ... no that might be pushing it a bit.

Top table is obviously the Sir Steve of Coppell table.

A pal of mine had Glad all over played as they walked up the isle leaving the church. Also played again at the reception.Little things are great but dont go over the top as it could detract from your day and look a little chavvy.Your future wife comes first on her big day, thereafter it Crystal Palace with her a close second.

At the ceremony get some of your noisiest mates to congregate in one corner and lead the singing.
They could wave flags and maybe unfurl a banner protesting at the rising cost of getting married?

We had Glad All Over as our second dance at my wedding earlier in the year to get people on the dance floor after the first dance. It worked really well as it's an upbeat tune. A couple of my wife's Birmingham supporting family refused to join in, but most people had a good boogie to it. Including one friend of ours who is quite a shy retiring bloke who'd never usually visit the dance floor at all and I turned round to see him dancing and singing at the top of his voice (he's a CPFC season ticket holder).

The themed tables is a good idea too as suggested below although you'd probably keep the background stories to yourself!

Could you work something into the vows at all?

Do you take [insert name] to be your wife and promise to be polite to her even when Palace have lost to someone sh*t?

Possibly something in the favours too?

Finally, you could hire an eagle to come and land on an elderly relative's head for good luck. Failing that, there's always eagle taxidermy table centre pieces.

Mine didn't come at all as we were a bit knackered and decided to have a kip.

Yeah, maybe you could get one to break out from the back row of the church/ceremony room and leg it towards your wife to tell her not to do it and they have a present for her.
